IB: How do you approach songwriting and What influences you? Do you have a
visual image in your mind as the song is composed, or does that come afterwards as a result of the song?
I start writing chord progressions on the
guitar or piano until something catches my ear. Then, I let the music
dictate the
lyrics.
-------------------------------------------------------------
IB: What's your philosophy on music today?
I have respect for all of the charting artists for making it to "the charts",
and I am glad to see actual musicians getting
noticed.
-------------------------------------------------------------
IB: Tell us about you, when did you begin writing songs ?
Funny story..kind of.In the late 90's I went through a rough time and
my..uh...counselor (lol) told me to write it all down.Poof! There were
some
songs!
-------------------------------------------------------------
IB: How many projects are you currently involved in?
I do alot of guest vocal work these days on other's albums. But I have
my album "Blue" that I'm really pushing as we
speak!
-------------------------------------------------------------
IB:
What's your long-term goals?
To go as far in this business as I am capable of doing. It should be
everyone's drea to reach thier full potential no matter what the
career.
-------------------------------------------------------------

IB:
How did you get into music/songwriting?
After I had written a bunch of songs, I wanted to try them out on the
public before I really dedicated my life to this. After selling over
3,ooo homeade c.d.'s (cheap plug) I figured I was
ready.
-------------------------------------------------------------
IB:
How long have you been performing?
I used to be a professional wrestler in the 90's, as well as an
actor. As far as music goes, since 2000.
-------------------------------------------------------------
IB:
What other artists/songwriters do you admire? And inspired
you the most early on?
I love very vocal artists like Erasure, Depeche Mode, Morrissey,
George Michael, Darren Hayes,and
Prince.
-------------------------------------------------------------
IB:
What is the most important lesson you think you have learned so far?
Not to give up, and remember why you wanted to do it in the first
place! For me it was and is the love of performing and actually being
listened
to.
-------------------------------------------------------------
IB: How many of your songs are 'instant' songs and how many are
channelled?
If I can't write 90% of a song in one setting, I move on.It keeps it
honest I think.
-------------------------------------------------------------
IB: Tell us about your latest project?
I co-wrote a c.d. titled"Blue" with Michael Floreale from
the band When In Rome.THey had a hit song called The Promise in
1990, which was recently featured in Napoleon Dynamite (The last
scene on the tether ball court). It basically is about my life over the
past two years.Samples are avaliable at www.myspace.com, and my site which is
www.jaydenfrost.com. Please buy
it! Rent's due! LOL
-------------------------------------------------------------
IB:
Is There anything else you would like to add?
I really appreciate you and everyone else who is giving me a
chance to share my music. As far as the consumers are concerned, I
promise that if you give this c.d. a chance, you won't be
dissapointed. For those that do buy it, thanks from the bottom of my
heart. You officially will become a part of this project and will have
contributed to the fullfillment of my dreams and my families. For those
that don't, thank you for considering it anyway.Be sure to check out
and support all of your local artists...we need you!Blessings on all
that you do in your own life!
Stay
cool!
