IB: How do you approach songwriting and What influences you? Do you have a visual image in your mind as the song is composed, or does that come afterwards as a result of the song?

I basically have an idea or a theme of what I want the song to be about and than I go from there. Sometimes I will get the idea from something someone said or from something that I've experienced. I really try to tap into some raw emotions and get onto paper how I really feel about something. Even though at times it can be hard to do, I feel that it is important to have meaningful lyrics that people can relate to.

IB: What's your philosophy on music today?

I'm mainly a Christian artist so my philosophy is do it for God and you can't go wrong!

IB: Tell us about you, when did you begin writing songs ?

I've been singing my whole life however I just recently started writing my own songs about 2 yrs. ago

IB: How many projects are you currently involved in?

I'm working with three different producers on two completely different albums. One will be a dance/trance album and the second is a Contemporary Christian Album.

IB: What's your long-term goals?

My long-term goal is to really bless people with my music and to get them perhaps to think of things in a different light. I want them to find my music at times comforting, exciting and something that they can relate to.

IB: How did you get into music/songwriting?

I grew up in a musical family so I've been around and influenced by music my whole life. The music got into me more than me getting into music.

IB: How long have you been performing?

My first solo was at the age of 3 and now I'm 23. So I've been doing it for a while.

IB: What other artists/songwriters do you admire? And inspired you the most early on?

I really admire Josh Groban and his amazing talent. I'm usually drawn to the singers that know what they are doing and have perfect pitch. I also recently have found another awesome and talented singer...Hayley Westenra. She has an amazing range with again perfect pitch, which is something that I strive for. My Dad was a huge influence growing up. He is a wonderful singer and I've always wanted to be as comfortable as he is on stage.

IB: What do you want out of life?

I want to have the people I love around me. As simple as it may sound, one of the things I love to do the most is hang out with my family. I think it is important to have their love and support around me. I also want to leave a mark on others' lives. If my music could touch just one person and make their day a little better or bring them closer to Christ than all my work would be worth while.

IB: What is the most important lesson you think you have learned so far?

Trust God. It's simple but something that I try to do daily. Without him I am nothing and because of him I am something!

God has a path for my life and I want to be on it. I want to be praising him through my singing and in everything I do.

IB: How many of your songs are 'instant' songs and how many are channelled?

Alot of them are instant songs. I usually get an idea and than a melody pops into my head and I record it really fast before I forget how it goes, lol.

IB: Tell us about your latest project?

As I said earlier I'm working on two CD's. The Christian Contemporary CD is called "My Escape" and the Dance album is at this point is untitled. They are both challenging and fun. I get to work with wonderful people and have a blast doing it. I'm also curently a senior at KSU working on my Bachelors in Business Admin. with a major in Marketing and a minor in Management. I have a lot on my plate but I try to enjoy it all, as it goes by so fast.

IB: Is There antyhing else you would like to add?

Answer: One thing that I've learned through out the years is that I can do anything I put my mind to with God's help. We're all here for a reason and we all have talents that are in the waiting.
