Lauren Ward says one of her biggest accomplishment was Recording a song on CD, the genre was Rock and Roll. Lauren tells us, “at 3 years old, my dad introduced me to guitar. Dad has been the inspiration for music for sure.” This aspiring young singer/songwriter, credits her desire and continued interest to the encouragement of family.
Lauren’s future goals are quite ambitious, “ I want To be able to perform, I would like to use music to express myself and to share that with people..” Lauren also told me that she would like have a CD out as well.
Lauren is currently writing a lot more songs, and books of lyrics. Some of her biggest influences musically draw from 70’s rock “I love 70’s Rock, black crowes, grateful dead…. I am starting to like more acoustic music. I also love Simon and Garfunkle… their music melts my heart.” She says. Lauren is a very talented young lady…. a singer, and guitarist, she tells us she has also experimented with drums. When asked why she wants to pursue a career in music, she replied “because it makes me happy…” I think that says everything!
Keep an eye out for Lauren in the near future, she is definitely going to be a major player in St. Louis music!
